Conventions of Contents Page

Key Conventions of a contents page:
* They reference what is inside the magazine
* Brief summary of articles
* It is constructed neatly in a grid form
* There is normally a contents banner across the top of the page or down the side
*  You can normally find the masthead, issue date and number, web address and social media        information
* There is one or two columns of text which are headed with subheadings
* There are page numbers
* There are relevant photos with captions and page numbers
* Importance is indicated with a photo as to whether it is large or small on the page
* Each article or feature heading is emphasised through bold enlargement
* The blurb underneath the heading is smaller and gives a small summary of the content in that article - the letter size needs to be large enough to be able to be seen but not too big so that it takes up too much room on the page
* There is often a editor's letter and callout box for subscribing for the magazine
